My 100 Dreams

I have read somewhere that when you start feeling bored, you should write down your 100 dreams. Life is too short, too unpredictable to be wasting away with nonsensical things. There are many reasons for our lives to be more meaningful and awesome and wonderful. I was inspired to write down my own dreams. These may change 5 to 10 years from now. Hopefully by then, I have crossed out at least 50% of them, and be able to jot down some more.

Doing so, you are telling the Universe what you want, specifically. From the frivolous, to the extravagant, to the simplest of dreams... And by its cosmic powers and what-nots, they will all come true...eventually and in His time.

My 3/4 IELTS Experience

Last Saturday (March 15,) I had my written exam for the IELTS. It is one of the requirements for the scholarship I will be applying for. The deadline for the said scholarship is on April 30, meaning I have to make sure my papers are complete 2-3 weeks prior before I pouch them. Aside from getting the required overall bandscore width (6.0 for student visa for Australia), I need to secure government clearances such as NBI Clearance for International Travel, renew my PRC ID and Driver's License. This means putting another hole in my, er, Mom's wallet. :) As of the moment, she already cashed  out about P15,000 for review and exam fees. At least the exam fee is reimbursable once successful.

My 1/4 IELTS Experience

Clammy hands. Sweating profusely. Stammering. Stuttering...

It was the first time in a long time when I felt that way. The last was during my Architecture Board Exam, which was three years ago. I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness, but this time it was different. Maybe because I only prepared for a month or even less? Having attended only the major subjects in my review class (I enrolled for the unlimited review course at 9.0 Niner Ielts Review Center Taft Branch.) I don't want to be so negative about it, but for the first time in my life - having taken thousands of exams, this was the most nervous I got. Not even the Civil Service Professional Exam or the board exam made my nerves go haywire. Perhaps, I was not rested enough, just came from a 2-day trip from our Amazing Race, Visayas Edition (will blog about it soon)? I really just don't know.

When Life Gives You Lemons.... Make Lemon Water

I have just started a new regimen. As I was browsing through the Internet for the recipe, turns out it has a name, and it's called Sassy Water. It's an infusion of water, lemon, cucumber, mint leaves, and ginger. I have been drinking the concoction since Saturday, and I have to say, it proves to be working, just as the articles I've read claim.

Friends and Changing Seasons

For almost two years, one of the major reasons why I stayed was because of the training bond. I did not want to burden my parents about it, even though Mommie kept assuring me that we'd just pay for it if I could not take it anymore and finally decide to leave. Of course, I do not want to donate Php 80,000 to one of the biggest companies in the Philippines. Although, I have not heard of anyone actually paying it. Just that they did not release his terminal pay or something.

Another reason is, I did not want to go home empty handed. I barely have enough savings yet, though I have made some investments on gadgets (assuming that they are, in fact, investments.) I want to at least be able to buy something useful when I go home, like a motorcycle, or a car even. I did not want to depend on Daddie or Mommie forever. At least, I want to have a fat bank account when I call it quits with EsEm.

It's Crunch Time!

Okay, so I have just been informed that the Owners want the project I'm handling to break ground this year, 6 months earlier than what was originally scheduled. My mall's supposed opening is on the first quarter of 2016, and apparently, they changed their minds... Again... And I was like, uh..... Okay?
